Process Improvement Lead

Since Bellroy launched with a range of five wallets 12+ years ago, we’ve shipped carry goods to 172 countries from 6 warehouses on 3 continents and sold out of more than 1,000 doorways through 18 distinct sales channels. We believe in creating exceptional products that inspire better ways to carry while using business as a force for good and our Sales Operations team is essential to making sure they can reach our customers, wherever they may be. We're on the lookout for a Sales Operations Lead who will help us achieve our mission by managing and optimising our global logistics operations.

As a Process Improvement Lead, you’ll be overseeing a small team of local and remote crew, working together to manage our logistics providers, optimise freight costs, and maintain accurate inventory levels. You’ll also be playing a key role in developing and implementing sales operations strategies to support our growth plans. Working cross-functionally with our production, sales and tech teams you’ll ensure timely delivery of our products to customers worldwide.

YOU COULD BE THE ONE IF YOU HAVE...

  • 3-5 years of experience in a process or systems improvement role
  • Experience in people management and enjoy helping others develop
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to optimise processes to drive cost efficiencies
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • An affinity for systems and data and an advanced knowledge of Excel formulas and functions
  • Experience working with global logistics providers and knowledge of customs regulations
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a team within a fast-paced, agile environment
  • The desire to work for a company that cares about doing good things for the world

IF YOU WERE HERE LAST WEEK YOU MIGHT HAVE…

  • Coordinated with our logistics providers to ensure on-time delivery of our products
  • Analysed logistics data and developed strategies to optimise our freight costs and provide recommendations for process improvements to the Sales Operations Manager
  • Read up on upgrades Netsuite, our ERP system, has made and tweaked our process to reserve inventory for key accounts
  • Worked closely with our 3PL(s) account manager(s) to ensure warehouse process optimisation across order fulfilment, stock receiving, storage utilisation, etc.
  • Worked with our data and tech team to identify what went wrong when an order didn’t make its way from our ERP system to our warehousing system
  • Met with our sales operations coordinator and worked through the recent changes to Amazon’s replenishment processes to ensure the timely delivery of inventory.

'Bellroy' is a fusion of our two homes – Bells Beach and Fitzroy. Bells Beach brings a relaxed, outdoor vibe to balance Fitzroy's creative, urban style. The city and the sea; inspiration and adventure. Together they provide a perfect balance.

Bells Beach

Our beach HQ sits behind giant sandstone cliffs that overlook one of Australia’s best-known surfing coastlines. It’s where our Product Designers experiment in the Maker Lab, and our Sales team consume awesome amounts of espresso and Skype bandwidth. Things are more tranquil here than our Fitzroy neighbours and we like the focus that can create. There’s a cafe right next door if you need a quick bite and our 11am surf check always provides the perfect chance to reset the mind with some salt air.

Fitzroy

Our Fitzroy space is immersed in the middle of Melbourne’s creative hub. It’s where our Creative, Marketing, Engineering and Operations teams develop campaigns and ensure each Bellroy is sent safely across the world. Walk out the door and you’ll find streets bursting with energy (and the best ramen joint this side of Tokyo). There’s also an olympic-size pool just around the corner for those in need of a lunchtime refresh.

Remotely

Outside of our two main headquarters we have a team that works remotely - from Western Australia to parts of Asia, the USA and Europe. Being global is at the heart of Bellroy, it keeps us connected, and makes sure we see life from many different perspectives.
